Chapter 513

The band played from Pop to Hard Metal to Punk to Jazz. Ye Cang weaved them all into a musical with his solo dance on the stage. Zuo Yiyi and Frozen Cloud didn’t go up to join him, even though they had some background in dancing and musicals. Zuo Yiyi knew Ye Cang’s dance was perfect by itself. She didn’t want to spoil it. Frozen Cloud, on the other hand, didn’t dare because she didn’t think she was nearly as good. Even though she didn’t want to admit it, the captain was the best dancer in China. Different from Gongsun Sword Dance, the captain danced with his heart.

Wu Na played guitar slowly, Frozen Cloud on the hi-hat. With a cheerful “Wish Lao Wang were your neighbor”, Ye Cang danced humorously around the stage, with his top hat and cane, just like an old silent movie, working the crowd.

Ye Cang and Panty Uncle both wore tux and top hat, but one looked like a dignified gentleman, the other easy-going. The show was over. Everyone stood in a row and bowed to the crowd in all directions. Their clothing was drastically different from one another yet somehow appeared in harmony.

“It’s over. Honestly this is the best show I’ve ever seen, bar none. And well, we just came to see a show, do we really need to act like undercover?”  Frozen Blood said, touching her lowered hat.

“If he finds out I came here just to see the show, he’ll pull me on stage and make fun of me.” Thorny Rose pulled down her hat even further.

When Ye Cang was taking the bow, he glanced at the front row, and walked up to Thorny Rose and Frozen Blood. He was thinking about messing around before he realized he was running out of time. After saying goodbye, he walked backstage in the loud cheer, and changed clothes.

Zuo Yiyi hurried to watch the recording, and was amazed. The feel on the stage was much wilder than the recording. Flasher Uncle’s bass and screaming was unbelievable. Panty Uncle’s Jazz and drum was incredible. Ye Cang’s dance was so perfect you couldn’t even think about dancing with him together in fear of destroying that perfection. Na Na and Frozen Cloud’s supporting roles were also fantastic. When she saw her own performance, it was also one of the best that she could remember, even though she wasn’t the lead.

Shan Tongtong, reporter from East News and a die-hard fan of Ye Cang, walked into backstage wearing a scarf with “True Love. Heart. Ye Cang” printed on it. Ye Cang saw her and nodded at Zuo Yiyi, “here comes King’s Special reporter and shill.”

Still enjoying the recording, Zuo Yiyi shivered and said, “no need to be so candid.” Wu Na said tepidly, “I heard you are now the director of East Third News.”

“Goddess Yiyi, as the producer of the show, what are your thoughts?” Shan Tongtong was moved by Panty Uncle and felt bad she had to turn to Zuo Yiyi.

“These three are the true masters who I can learn so much from. To be able to be on the same stage with them, honestly I felt a lot of pressure, but it all went well.
